Destiny 2 Max Stat Armor Finder

1. Open DIM (Destiny Item Manager) with your inventory loaded.
2. In DIM, go to Settings → Spreadsheets → Inventory Spreadsheets and click Armor. This saves a file named destiny-armor.csv.
3. Upload that file to this site by clicking on the box below or dragging the file to it. It must be named destiny-armor.csv (max 500 KB).
4. Choose the Archetypes, Sets, and Minimum Tier you want. The tool finds the best armor in each slot for those combinations.
5. Click Process. Each result card shows how many armor IDs matched.
6. Click Copy IDs on a card to copy the IDs of the armor pieces found, then in DIM paste the string into the search bar to highlight those pieces.
7. Note: In my own use of this tool, this works the best in DIM's Organizer page. Tag all of the armor this site finds as Keep and lock those items, then tag everything else as Infuse or Junk and unlock those. Dismantle away.

What each result means

Best: Set + Archetype

The highest total-stat piece in each slot, for every Set + Archetype combination you selected (also for each Tuning Stat if Tier 5 pieces are available for the set + archetype) across all three classes.

Best: Archetype (any Set)

The same idea as above, except only grouped by Archetype and Tuning Stat (if a Tier 5 piece is available for the archetype). The top piece per archetype + tuning stat regardless of which set it belongs to.

Duplicates

Each Duplicates card contains only the pieces that tie for the top total stat within a group (more than one equally-best piece). Use them to break the tie yourself on individual stats, or to spot redundant copies you could dismantle.
